Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement, also known as kadō which means ‘the way of flowers’ in which unlike normal floral arrangements, the artist’s creativity is expressed through leaves, stems, color combinations, natural shapes and graceful lines apart from flowers. This art is governed by some rules as well and the spiritual aspect of ikebana is considered very important to its practitioners. Ikebana can inspire one to identify with beauty in all art forms and one feels closeness to nature which provides relaxation for the mind, body, and soul.
